About Elyse Van Breemen
I AM:
AN EXPERIENCED PRESS RELEASE WRITER who gets published articles. I started writing press releases over 50 years ago, when after college I went to work for Michael Goldstein Public Relations in NYC. I was a secretary—that was the kind of job a girl could get in those days, but when I learned that one of Michael’s potential clients was singer-songwriter, Rod McKuen, I decided I’d write a press release about him. Michael told me later that that press release had a lot to do with his securing Rod McKuen as a client.
I’ve gotten press in The Washington Times, The Tampa Tribune, The St. Petersburg Times, The Clearwater Sun, The Houston Chronicle, The Miami Herald, Washington New Observer, The Baton Rouge State Times, The Senior Connection News-Magazine
A JOURNALIST. I was the featured writer for The Comm Line, a Florida newspaper for many years. I wrote articles such as “Save the Earth” “No Child Left Behind Leaves Children Behind,” “Meet Dale Badway, Actor, Singer, Entrepreneur.”
Articles I’ve written have appeared in The New American, Lady’s Circle and Women’s Times.
A COLUMNIST. I wrote columns for “The Weekly Challenger,” l98l, “The Health Press” and “The Suncoast News,” l982, “The Suncoast Journal,” l987-l988, “Mother’s Network,” l989, all under my trademarked Mz. Goose byline.
PUBLISHED CHILDREN’S AUTHOR. My latest book, The Happiness Fables, is being read all over the world. It’s published in German, Czechoslovakian, Slovakian , Spanish, Chinese, Hungarian, as well of course, English. These fables have lessons in them, and the children guess the lesson of the story.
I can write similar fables that go along with your product or deliver the message you want to children, and their parents. They buy a toy and they get a story too!
Earlier works include Mz Goose and Her Wonderful Rhymes. AlsoAlphabet in Rhymes, The Crab and the Cat, The Many Ways of Being Me, My Five Senses all by Abilities Research, Los Angeles and The Mz. Goose Color-Me Cookbook, LaFray Publishing, St. Petersburg, Fl. 8,000 copies sold in Florida l983-84.
A MASTER OF RHYMES. As the I author of Mz Goose and Her Wonderful Rhymes and Alphabet in Rhymes, I love to make up rhymes.

To promote the Mz Goose Color Me Cookbook I did cooking demonstrations at leading department stores, libraries, bookstores, festivals. Have you ever thought of having entertaining demonstrations of your product?
DOOR TO DOOR SALESLADY OF CHILDREN’S PRODUCTS. In my early work years, I sold non other than The Worldbook and Childcraft Encyclopedia door to door. I even became a District Manager for the company.
A TEACHER of creative writing and creative dramatics for children. Some of my children’s writings have been published in local newspapers. Some were written especially and sent to The Future of Haiti, an organization formed to help children in orphanages.
I can create lessons for children to do at stores, libraries, parks, schools or at their home.
I even one year taught first grade at a local private school and wrote a phonics reader which I would love one day to get published.
I love children! I have fun creating for them and with them!
SUCCESSES
Every article I’ve caused to be published through a press release or I’ve written myself is a success!
SUCCESSES IN EDUCATION: I graduated the University of Wisconsin High School with honors, 2nd in my class. I graduate the University of Wisconsin with a BA in Speech and Theatre with honors. In 7th grade I was the winner of the Illinois State Speech Contest best humorous reading and I was first chair cellist, Northwestern University High School summer camp.
SUCCESS AS A PERFORMER FOR CHILDREN: : My performances as Mz Goose, the Modern Day Mother Goose® were all successes for me. From 1982 – 1991 I helped stores such as Maas Brothers and Burdines with my performances.
SUCCESS AS A GUEST SPEAKER: I was a guest speaker for the National Council of Children and Television in 1983.Featured on TV Shows: I wrote a letter to Ted Turner and he invited me to be featured on his show “Nice People.” What a success that was! I did the same to get on “Pulse Plus” a Tampa Bay News show.
FEATURED ON TV SHOWS: I wrote a letter to Ted Turner and he invited me to be featured on his show “Nice People.” What a success that was! I did the same to get on “Pulse Plus” a Tampa Bay News show.
CREATED MY OWN CHILDREN’S TV SHOW: I put together a “Mz Goose TV Show” on Gulfstream Cablevision designed to demonstrate children’s creativity.
PERFORMING AT THE WHITE HOUSE EASTER EGG ROLL FOR 2 YEARS AND FOLLOWUP APPEARANCES ON TV: : A great success was being invited to appear at The White House Easter Egg Roll for two years. Then appearing on the “The Mike Baker TV Show,” Washington, D. C.,”The Joe Franklin TV Show,” New York City, syndicated nationally and appearing at the “The Spirit of Freedom Festival,” Great Meadows, Va.
HELPING A PRESCHOOL THROUGH AN ARTICLE PUBLISHED IN THE SENIOR CONNECTION NEWS-MAGAZINE: A special success was when I wrote an article about Fatima Talbird, a slender, almost athletic 84 year-old teacher of a preK at Sugar ‘N Spice DayCare which appeared in the Senior Connection News-Magazine. Her preK class is already reading, doing elementary math and speaking some Spanish and French. Sugar ‘N Spice was trying to keep their doors open and I was trying to help them.
HELPING A NON PROFIT ORGANIZATION THROUGH AN EVENT AND AN ARTICLE: It was heartwarming when I helped create an event and wrote an article that got published about Fostering Hope. It’s a non-profit organization with a mission to provide foster care that protects and honors the rights of children. They provide real homes for foster children in their Hope Houses: 4-plus bedroom homes with fenced yards, where siblings can stay together and kids can be kids. Publix employees volunteered. They painted the swing set in the yard where we did the event, planted a vegetable garden, trimmed trees and even painted the kitchen cabinets.
HELPING WITH MORE EVENTS AND APPEARANCES: : I have appeared and helped create events at the Girl Scout Council, Libraries, Children’s Hospitals, Foster Children’s Homes and numerous birthday parties, shopping centers, mall and stores.
I’VE MADE A “HOBBY” INTO A PROFESSION, as I do what I love and I look forward to helping those who serve children with their services or products to have as good a time promoting and caring as I do.
